K-Pop Inspired Outfits: EXO's Don’t Fight The Feeling
Over a year and a half since their last comeback, EXO are back yet again. This comeback marks the return of members D.O. and Xiumin (who have returned from their military service), as well as Chinese member Lay (who has been focusing on promoting in China as a solo act).
Not only is the song a total bop, the outfits featured in the teasers and music video are amazing as well! There are two distinct aesthetics featured in the music video, and while they have very different vibes, both styles suit EXO amazingly.
Read on to take a look at EXO’s fashion for Don’t Fight The Feeling, as well as how you can put together your own EXO inspired outfits.
Space concepts are not new to EXO—after all, their debut concept was aliens from EXO Planet—and so it’s no surprise that they suit the sci-fi concept so well. The fashion during the science fiction segment was not just futuristic, but also grungy with a touch of military vibes.

Wearing thick jackets like theirs might not be the most practical in Singapore, but you can swap it out for a black space inspired t-shirt and still retain the sci-fi vibe.

And instead of boots, why not go for chunky all-black sneakers instead? They have a similar vibe and aesthetic to boots, but are much more comfortable and practical for daily wear.

You can also add a finishing touch to your outfit with a black beret. While most people might only wear berets for the artsy vibe, depending on how you style them, they can also have a subtle military vibe.

And if you're bold enough to go with a red beret hat instead, it would make for a great statement piece to add an extra layer of oomph to your outfit.
Their second set of outfits doesn’t have a lot of screen time in the music video, but can be seen clearly in their teaser photos. As opposed to the futuristic sci-fi look, these outfits have much more of a retro vibe. EXO is no stranger to retro concepts either, and despite how different the two looks are, they pull both off perfectly.

Because of its beginnings as a company specialising in products for analog photography, Kodak definitely has a retro vibe. Their yellow and red logo is iconic, and wearing a t-shirt with this logo emblazoned across the chest will definitely be a blast to the past.

And if you want to go even further back in time, why not rock some 80s vibes with some tie dye designed t-shirts? The 80s were known for their colourful fashion, and tie dye designs were super popular back in those days—and since fashion is cyclical, we think it might be time to bring tie dye back into fashion.
